Like many other states of the United States of America, Washington has also promulgated a statute of laws regarding worker’s compensation in case of any injury or the death of the worker during work time. The worker’s compensation laws are little bit different to that of the other states of America.

In Washington, Worker’s compensation is compulsory when a worker is injured during his duty hours. Unlike most of the states, the workers in Washington have the right to designate their personal physicians at the time of their employment in a company. If the workers do not give the names of their physicians, then, it is the duty of the company to refer the injury cases to their own designated physician. The system established under Washington, DC Workers Compensation Law is flawless and prompt. Hence, there is no instance of any deliberate delay or negligence in the past years. Since 2006, Washington State Laws have been modified a little and now they are more comprehensive in comparison to the past. The workers have also the facility of getting all sorts of compensations within 3 days of the injury. It is clearly described as a legal liability for the industrial companies. If the worker’s disability continues more than 14 days, there are other compensations available as benefits for the workers. In case of worker’s death during work, there are safeguards available for the family under Washington, DC Workers Compensation Law. Thus rights of the workers have been provided every possible protection in Washington State Laws.

The workers are entitled to have benefits in case of legal proceedings. If they have to go courts to sue cases for their compensations, they are given 30% of the total expanses by the state. By this act of compensation, they have been provided every possibility of getting their due rights through courts, which may otherwise be difficult for them. Washington State Laws also allow various human rights organizations to work for the protection of workers’ rights. There are also philanthropist organizations which work for the well-being of the workers and provide them awareness and guidance through their websites. All these organizations also work under legal cover by Washington State Laws. The aim of all this exercise is to provide a speedy justice as well as financial compensation to the workers who meet accidental injuries during work hours. It also helps to share the risk factor to which they are exposed during their working hours.
